Birthday Party Science Experiments at home
A birthday party runs on energy and then suddenly does not. Science experiments are one of the few activity types that hold a group of children together at a table without anyone needing to win, and without the adult managing ten different things at once. Before you start
Across all three experiments, the single most important thing you can do before calling children over is portion out the materials in advance — pre-measure baking soda into cups, pre-thread straws onto string, pre-pour liquids into small pitchers. Children at a party table do not wait well while an adult measures. The one thing most likely to go wrong across all three: liquids moving faster than expected.
